The story in this book was okay, but in places it was so awkwardly written that it was hard for me to take it seriously. I guess I never got into the author's tone. This is a compelling novel about a black preacher who is sent by mission to South Africa in the early 1930's. The story chronicles his choices and how he rediscovers his strengths and what makes him great. This would be a great book for bookclubs to read.
Elegantly written and inspiring!
A MUST read for every South African
