I liked this one but it was a bit different from the others in the series. The previous book, Hershie's Kiss, set up the circumstances for Theron and Michael's story and it's fleshed out here. While I enjoyed their story, the ending felt a bit ambiguous. It didn't leave me with that happy, warm, fuzzy feeling I've had with the previous Campus Cravings books.
Cursory examination of serious issues. Michael needed a lot of help, and Theron's initial proposition was plain stupid considering Michael's mental health. And he calls himself a psychiatrist!Pet peeve: Theron kept going on about how he was the last chance to carry on the family name so he had to be with a woman. Last time I checked, gay men can still have children.
This may come as a shock but believe it or not a gay couple can have children. Gasp!
Michael slashes his wrists in an attempt to commit suicide. Luckily, Demetri finds him and he is taken to the hospital just in time to save his life. Upon hearing the news, Theron flies back to Idaho immediately to take care of Michael. It does not take long for Theron to decide that producing heirs is overrated and Michael is too yummy to pass up. Once Michael and Theron decide to give their relationship a fair chance, things begin to fall into place. As always, I enjoyed this book in the contex [...]
I read this fully knowing it was a part of a series but I was intrigued and trusted that it would work as a stand alone and it did. The author did a good job at introducing characters that had clearly been the MCs in previous books, but while these appearances were probably appreciated by readers who knew them, they didn't steal the sow. I have to say this one had such a promising start filled with the right kind of angst for me. Theron was one of the biggest pricks I've encountered in my readin [...]
I think this was my favorite book in the series so far. When the last book ended, Michael had been beaten almost near death in LA and Theron had been there to take care of him. They both took had feelings for each other but Theron was in denial and left as soon as he dropped Michael off at BK House. This led to a spiral downhill that had Michael believing that he'd be better off dead and he tried to kill himself which brought Theron out to Idaho to help him. Between Theron's determination that h [...]
This has to be the most heart-wrenching book in the series. First, I loved Michael's character. I've always had a thing for heroes who are emotionally vulnerable and Michael certainly had has his share of downs: (view spoiler)[disowned by family, cast aside by friends, brutally raped and beaten, rejected by the man he felt attracted to, attempted suicide(hide spoiler)]And then there is Theron. I found myself frustrated with him for being so clueless when it came to his relationship with Michael. [...]
Theron Demakis is the eldest of the gorgeous Demakis brothers. As the only bi-sexual brother, however, he feels it's his duty to have children to carry on the family name. So when he finds himself attracted to young student, Michael Storm, he runs back to NYC. When Michael suffers a meltdown, Theron comes riding back to the rescue, but is it too late to save Michael and their stilted relationship? I really enjoyed this story. Michael was a very damaged young man, but I liked watching him grow th [...]
Okay I have to admit, this couple was terrible. I hated Michael as a character, he was a weak pathetic loser. Yeah boo hoo, he was raped, so yeah he went and tried to kill himself, loser. Everything what happened to Michael happened because he went into it, knowingly that didn't trust strangers. So no, I can't feel sorry for that kid, he was a mess and he made all the people around him worry. He was as selfish and pathetic as Theron. As I said, Theron and Michel were definitely the worse couple [...]
I don't know. It was ok, but this couple seemed a bit unbalanced. And I'm not talking only about Michael's mental health. Theron was as messed up as his partner. Actually I had a feeling that Michael was the more stable one in this relationship. I lost count how many times doc changed his mind about being with a guy. And they both behaved like kids more than once.
Oh what poor Michael went through, and his parents, I can't believe them, they shouldn't be parents and to find out what his supposedly friends thought of him once he outted himself was disgusting. But the love of the Demakis family will help Michael and Theron move on to a wonderful life together.
3.5 'Another awesome quick easy to read, mm book in this series' stars.Heartaching the way these guys have been treated in these books by family and society. What Micheal went through was despicable, glad Theron was finally able to be there for him.
Michael and Theron's story is very powerful. It was heartbreaking to follow Michael into his downward spiral, but so rewarding to have him come back. Theron's another one that I would have liked to smack upside the head a few times!!!
The novel wasn't my cup of tea. but itwasn't the worst, just some point in the book looks unrealistic.
This was so hard to read.Poor Michaeld Theron annoyed me so much till about half way through.h loving for these two guys x

There's three brothers, at least one of them is a doctor, and all are highly educated and none considered surrogacy? The only way to get an heir is a D in a V? Lie back and think of Greece?
