I would like to thank Tabitha Caplinger for my copy of the ARC, due to this I have voluntarily decided to leave a review.Wow how was that for an ending! I can admit that it's totally pulled on my heartstrings. The book follows on from the first where Zoe, Daniel, Maggie & Lucas fight for the all good of mankind. While they are trying to work out what our demon wants, they have struggles within themselves that they need to try and overcome. We get an insight on Claire and her past but we also [...]
I have been blessed with an early read of book #2 in the trilogy. It's good. Very good.:)This timeI did not read only one chapter a day(in an attempt to pace myself),I indulged,&I'm glad I did.:)Two & half days later, sitting by the fire,Before Christmas,I read what I discoverd was the last sentenceMercy.Am I going to have to wait a year for book three?!:(Armor Bearer starts fast,&doesn't slow down.:)The writing is full of wit. :)There are new characters, who I like.:)As well as more o [...]
I literally just got done reading and have to yell this as I refrain from throwing my KindleIT CAN NOT END THAT WAY!! That was NOT supposed to happen (insert multiple exclamation marks)! Now that I have that off my chest somewhat (I am still in a state of shock though), this was a great sequel to Bloodline. I confess that was a little disappointed by all the "hooking up" I felt was going on, but I think younger readers would greatly enjoy it. Though I did not like all of it, I will mention that [...]
Ahhhh!!! Book two of the Chronicle of the Three urban fantasy series. It's dark, mysterious, and I JUST LOVED IT! The demon element was still played into just as much in this sequel and the characters grow immensely in this installment. Every one of them have come into their own real person that I can visual and I am attached to. The plot was totally exciting, action packed, and full of intrigue. The evil villain of our story is quite intimidating and truly scary. As well as the many side "evils [...]
I would like to thank Amanda and Tabitha for emailing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.Armor Bearer, is Book 2 in a series. The first book is The Chronicle of Three: Bloodline. This is a Christian fantasy and I enjoyed it. I thought it had one weakness ~ it was too short. I wanted more book. I would say, it's a novella, just shy of 200 pages. However, that 200 pages certainly offers the reader a clear look at the battle of good against evil. The author has created a good group of friends [...]
Review also posted at: underthebookcover4.5/5Thank you to Tabitha Caplinger, Amanda Gawthorpe, and Blue Ink Press for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for review! If you thought I ranted and raved about how much I loved Bloodline, then get ready. It's been a while since I've quite literally accidentally read half of a book in one sitting, but that is exactly what I did with Armor-Bearer. I was left needing more of this world after finishing the first book, so I opened up my e-rea [...]
For months, I anticipated this second novel from author Tabitha Caplinger, and it was worth the wait! The characters that I came to love in book 1 (TCO3: Bloodline) returned in this second installment with even more to admire. Fighting off demons, dealing with unresolved family issues, trying to stay one step ahead of evil at every turn this book has it all. Sword fighting, pie eating, loveable characters like Aunt Claire, Maggie, Zoe, Lucas, Daniel they are became so real to me! I cried real [...]
Talk about a stab in the heart! The author knows how to connect with the readers and get the job of making us love them done. Armor-Bearer is a fabulous follow-up to Bloodlines. There is more evil to battle. More goodness overcoming. And way more surprises. Maggie is the light-hearted comedic relief that is just perfect for the book, and Zoe and Claire are still the greatest Aunt/Niece demon-fighting duo known to man. Get ready for surprises, tears, laughter, and more. Great book is an understat [...]
This is what I learned from Caplinger's demon slayers in the much anticipated sequel after reading Bloodline TWICE (and could enjoy it yet again)While engaging in spiritual warfare, there are plenty of nightmares and restless nights going on. Coffee helps and love drinking it, but all the coffee in the world won't help the exhaustion so JUST KEEP GOING!No matter how overwhelmed/stressed/frustrated/inadequate you feel, there is a Maker and you are important to Him. Your comfort isn't a priority, [...]
This second installment of the series is absolutely amazing! I couldn't put the first book down and really couldn't put this one down. It draws you in with clear, awesome imaginary and leaves you wanting more from the get go. I cannot wait to see how this story ends!!
Man, I have a lot to say about this book! Okay, let me see where I can start To begin, as a sequel, I think the book did a really good job. It felt like a cohesive continuation of the first book. The characters stayed the same, the plot transitioned well, and it sets things up for the epic battle that I'm sure will occur in the final book. That said, there were a few things that fell a little flat for meTo start with, I'm a huge theology nerd. The minute points of theology that the first book br [...]
Second book of the Chronicles of the Three Christian fantasy books. I read book one quite some time ago and liked it. So when the author offered me book two in exchange for an honest review I accepted. I do like these books so far. Fantasy with a Christian viewpoint. I am a bit disappointed that though they talk of prayer and going to Church, there isn't much evidence of a relationship with God (who is called "The Maker"). Having said that, it's possible that more of that will come in the later [...]
Armor Bearer was an awesome book. I could not put it down once I started reading. It kept me riveted to see what would happen next. The ending was awesome and a great segway into the third book in this trilogy.
Armor-Bearer is a compelling and fast-paced read that will appeal to a wide audience. And for those already on Team God, Zoe is not the only one who is chosen and loved--YOU are too! <3 <3 <3 Tabitha Caplinger conveys spiritual warfare in such a powerful way. The pages are embedded with eerie shadows, kick-butt battle scenes, likable and witty characters, and an intense plot that’ll keep you turning the pages to see who or what will pop up next! Without giving away too much, there wer [...]
