This is one of those series that I don't regret reading, but I wouldn't recommend. There has to be a balance between young drama, and the story, there must be some kind of structure and design to a series. This one didn't make it in my opinion. Forsaken: I'm not sure I liked this book, most of it doesn't make sense and it just gives questions and not answers, it's one of those books that only try to hook you into the series. It feels like not a good copy of Twilight. (view spoiler)[Nora meets th [...]
At first it's pretty decent. I only started reading it because I clicked on it in my library by accident. I liked what I saw so I kept going. The dream world was great, I enjoyed it too. And then Nora suddenly just did everything Hunter told her to without any thought to her family. I let it slide until the end of book one. Her reasoning to convert made sense, but then the solution was right there immediately. Wholly anticlimactic and foreshadowing of books to come.Book two became more annoying [...]
The 1st book was dragging a bit. The 2nd was better I am on the 3rd and having a hard time to finish it. The main characters lack character. It is a high school girl who meets a boy who so happens to be a vampire and shows her something he wasn't supposed to and now they are after them. I guess they are supposed to be in love but there isn't anything showing it. There isn't any passion between the two or love it is just well I think I love him so I must and same for him. The book has potential b [...]
No depths in the characters I liked the setup of the story but it was very disappointing. Both main characters lacked that certain spark, and the story didn't evolve organically. It jumped from one event to another so I had to stop it after about 100 pages. Can't recommend it I'm afraid.
ShallowThere is not much depth to this series. Not much character development. Things resolve too easily. Too many details are left out, like you just need to trust it works this way.
Great series!I absolutely loved this series! And just about all of the extra books that are in there are good as well, some of them I will definitely be reading again.
Not great.I started reading this series with great hope. It was soon apparent that I was going to be disappointed. while I love the premise it wasn't executed well. I would love to see the author go back and give a little more build up and add more information about how the main character deals with leaving her whole life behind. it went downhill from there. If the author went back and worked on the book, i would give it another chance. but for now i won't be finishing the series.
I didn't read the bonus books.Sophia did an amazing job telling Norah and Hunter's story. I did not see that ending coming at all!!!! Could use a good editor due to some spelling and grammatical errors but they are pretty easy to get past. I didn't read the bonus books that came in the boxes set but the series itself is definitely worth the time and money you invest into it.
A weaving between worlds, where the reader sometimes isn't sure who the bad guys are, or what is real and what is a dream. Fascinating, fantastical!
Don't read. Awful writing. There's no plot line and the chapter titles give away everything that's going to happen in the chapter.
Not half bad. While some thing's were left to the end with no real conclusion, I found the story line to be original and engaging. The characters really popped out as genuine people. I would have liked to know more about them. All in all I really liked the series and I would enjoy a return after she has spent time with her mother.
Not even worth a dollar!the first and second book were OK but the third was really confusing and I still haven't gotten through it nor am I exited to. There are several mistakes and typos through the story, the plot got plain boring sometimes, it has great potential but I don't think it should have the honor of being called a book but rather a draft.
A decent readAt first I had to really struggle to make it through the first book, the second got much better and the third was not bad. I did have to get over the name change of the main character after two books, Gabriel went to Gabrielle although he was still a "he", a lot of typos and spelling errors, however looking past all that, it was not a bad trilogy.
Great book for tween on upThe whole series was quite an enjoyable read! I was glad I had the set so I could keep reading and didn't have to wonder how the story was going to end. My 13 year old daughter is reading the series nowhard to find age appropriate yet interesting books and this one fits the bill!
Good setThe Forsaken Saga was a good read. I got lost in the details sometimes, but overall great story! It had just enough meat for you to sink your teeth in without being so long that you get bored reading. I enjoyed the twists-they were unexpected and perfect!
So so good and the vampire gift part 1 I can't wait to read the next vampire gift it was so so good. I can't wait to get my eyes on it. Lol. About the eyes that is no not really I can't wait to read more.
Not badNot a bad story overall. Kept me interested wondering what would happen next. Not extremely deep, but good for a light read.
Not badNot a bad read. A little different than other authors. Will continue to read the saga because I would like some more answers.
Awesome!!Love it! Really keeps u on your toes!! Would love reading more of her books! A definite must read !!
Only read the first book, Forsaken. It intrigued me at the beginning, but I couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters or their plight by the end of the first book.
AwesomeThis series had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I enjoyed everything about the story line
