* First Reads advanced copy*I would actually rate Night Siren a 3 and 3/4 stars. I found it to be a wonderful introduction to a new author. The premise of the story was good. The author did a good job of introducing new twists to the story. I just had a couple problems with parts of the story to be able to give it a higher rating.First, I thought that the author left too much out in the story. There were several times where he jumped a character forward in time and location. Although it wasn't a [...]
When I made it to the end of this one, I could see what a good story was underneath.Unfortunately, along the way I felt like much of this was above my pay grade.I felt left out in this story. There is so much insider knowledge and research into military and intelligence organizations that is glossed over. The story skips from several different characters, sometimes within chapters and that also contributed to a story that didn't allow me to get my feet planted.Even after the end, I'm not entirel [...]
I was given an electronic copy of this book for an honest review. I would give Night Siren 3 3/4 stars, if the rating system would allow. I thought it was an enjoyable thriller, but I felt that it ended too abruptly. The twists and turns in the plot kept it interesting, but easy to follow. I do not mind that certain questions were not answered because th [...]
Night Siren is an enjoyable book to read. It's not something that you wanna read before you go to bed because reading this book requires intelligent and focus. I love the idea that the main character is facing dilemma about who to save at the end of the day. The topic is quite common, but the plot is well built. The characters and the conversation seem real. I would recommend this reading to anyone who loves action/drama/thriller. Nicely done for the author!
