What the hell, man? Why was this novel the size of a novella? Huh? Huh?You finally find something even remotely interesting and it finishes before it even starts. What gives! I didn't even get all emotionally involved enough to continue the series. >__<I'm skipping out to book 3 to read Solomon and Minka's book :p I see sizzle, I see sparkI hear Umaiya's next wolf bark!(That was so lame!! Lol)
A bit darker, more dangerous, and action packed than the Chiassons, I'm loving the characters and can't wait to see what more happens with this world and those that live within it --Full review to come
3.5 stars! Short story that I really enjoyed! Takes place in New Orleans and involves werewolves, witches and vamps!
Moon Kissed is the first book in the LaRue Series by Donna Grant but it is obviously a follow series to the Chiasson Series which I have not read so there were some storylines that I didn't understand. They referenced things from the previous series without really explaining what had happened. However, it is an enjoyable shifter book. This book centers around Addison who is a college student having trouble paying for school so she ends up working at the Gator Bait Bar and Grill. She grew up in N [...]
Review will be posted atbooks-n-kisses MBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2REVIEW: Addison Moore is at the end of her rope. A random chance of walking into Gator Bait is about to change her whole world. If it is for the good or the bad that is yet to be determined. Myles LaRue has had no interest in getting involved with anyone for any reason. But the minute that Addison walked through the doors of Gator Bait, Myles was completely and total lost. Great start to the LaRue series. We meet the LaRue boys in book [...]
Loved itIf you love paranormal your gonna love this book! Werewolves, witches, vampires, demons and voodoo, you name it, it lives in New Orleans. 4 hunky brothers that just so happen to turn into werewolves. Addison is one lucky lady, well regarding the sexy wolf anyway. Book kept my interest until the end. Definitely recommend to shifter lovers!
3.75 stars. very action filled and fast paced with a lusty encounter or two b4 love
Okay, not to be weird here, but the acknowledgements made me squeal here! Anywho… Moon Kissed… aahhh yes… Moon Kissed is Book 1 in Donna’s LaRue series. I have loved Miss Grant since I picked up her Druid’s Glen Series…. Even though her norm for me is Scottish numminess… I loved this one soooo much too! This is an awestriking and sexy series starter set in deep southern United States! Donna got the details here so spot on for me that I could nearly feel the humidity! I’ve lived i [...]
A good paranormal romance When I started this book I felt like I'd kinda jumped the cue, there seemed to be a back story to the La Rue brothers I was missing. However I soldiered on and got the jist of their history once I got into the story.I liked that this was a quick satisfying read with mild drama and suspense, a fairly good romance story between Myles and Addison, and the story line was fairly good. I look forward to reading book 2
The first book in Donna Grant's LaRue series was good. I enjoyed the two main characters. Even though it is a novella, Donna wrote it in a way that made the relationship develop slowly and steadily. The conflict was strong with an already set up villain from the Chiasson series. I enjoyed the passion, the action, the characters, and the overall story. I look forward to more of the LaRue brothers.
Addison Moore was having a bad day, deciding to treat herself to some food she goes to a bar and grill called Gator Bait. While waiting for her food she meets Myles LaRue one of the owners. They both have an instant attraction to each other, but Addison has no idea what he is or what she's in for.
Good startI like this novella. I do feel I am missing somethings by not reading the Chiasson books first but not so much that I feel left out. I think more for background then missing the plot. It was a good start to this series and I look forward to more books.
This book is as light as a feather
Good readEnjoyed this book in the Larue series. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.Enjoy reading all of your books.
Great Book! Really enjoyed this one set in New Orleans. These La Rue's are hot!
wonderful story for the series
I’m still reeling from this – that no one (scowly face) NO ONE told me of the wonder that is a shifter story from Donna Grant. Yeah – I’ll be getting the rest of these soon, and plan to hide out with the LaRue pack as soon as I can swing the time away. There are werewolves, vampires, witches and Voodoo priestesses all set in New Orleans as the LaRue brothers seek to maintain the peace between the factions in the city. Addison walks into Gator Bait bar after a perfectly horrible day, and [...]
Addison Moore is a down on her luck college student who is having trouble paying for school. She ends up going into the Gator Bait Bar and Grill for something to eat one night. She has grown up in New Orleans and always heard rumors of Voodoo Priestess, witches, vampires, and werewolves but she never believed in any of them. She ask to work at Gator Bait. She is instantly smitten with Myles LaRue.Myles LaRue and his three brothers own the Gator Bait Bar and Grill. Their family was cursed by a Vo [...]
Fantastic read! I loved everything about this book. I was engaged the whole time and very much look forward to reading lots more about the fabulous LaRue brothers! I love the whole setting and felt like I was actually in The French Quarter. Not only is the town magical and mysterious, so are the LaRues and I just want more of them! Addison is alone and struggling to make a better life for herself . As if college and working herself to the bone isn't enough, just as she's about to see the light a [...]
Another amazing story from Donna Grant, I was never into wolf shifters, well except for Taylor Lautner! That is until now, Donna has changed my whole thoughts on wolf shifters, move over Taylor because the LaRue brothers are on the scene, cursed by a voodoo priestess and cousins to the Chiassons, These brothers hunt the supernatural in New Orleans and run a bar called Gator Bait, where the charming Addison Moore, a college student who is struggling to make ends meat gets stranded in town and sto [...]
#1 of another great seriesMs. Grant has written an awesome story to start the LaRue series! We meet the LaRue brothers in the Chiasson series. In book 1, we get to know a bit more about the LaRue brothers and their fight against the supernatural in the French Quarter of New Orleans and their feud with the Voodoo Priestess. We also meet Addison Moore. Addison and Myles LaRue, have instant chemistry but Myles is reluctant to act on it due to his lifestyle and family curse. Moon Kissed is their stor [...]
This is the 4th book in the Chiasson/LaRue series but the first in just the LaRue series. These stories, I always find a wee bit too short as they are only novellas. However I couldn't put it down! I loved the attraction and Chemistry between Myles and Addison. There was action, passion and though I have not read many werewolf books I will be adding them to my list! I am looking forward to reading more about the LaRue brothers as well as the Chiasson sister!
This one was just ok for me. The story wasn't bad at all but I did not know that this was a spin off of a different series, so I just felt lost through a lot of this. Too many characters/plot that was not explained well. You definitely need to read other series first in my opinion. I also felt the story was very rushed and the characters were flat. Maybe if I had read this as a continuation of the others series it would have felt different.
I had been following the Chiasson series. When this spin off came about, I was hesitant to read it since my passion for wolf shifters was not as intense as the other supernatural beings. With the smorgasbord of great characters and well executed story, I was actually entertained without realizing that I had reached the epilogue. Another good read!
Although I like the LaRue and Chiasson men, I am not as engaged with this series as I am with the Dark Warrior and Dark King series. It's nice that they are short and a quick read because there's is not a lot of substance to them
At first I was like I don't know about this book but as the book went on I was hooked. I even said that Myles better not get killed off in this book. I am glad thaey had a happy ending to this book and can't wait to get started on Moon Thrall
Loved it! But then, I like werewolves over all supernatural beings.
Very thrilling, exciting and so passionate. It was a great book, loved it.
Loving the Chaissons and the LaRues. It is going to be hard waiting for the next book.
Another Great Book By Donna Grant.I reviewed this book on 's website instead of on my Kindle Fire HDX. I love all her Donna Grant's books.
