Leaning a little more towards 2.5. I have been looking forward to Saint's story and am both happy and disappointed. I liked Saint's character until he starts opening his mouth about taking back the throne from Vohne. Every time this subject came up my liking of Saint took a dive. Vohne does everything with the good of his people in mind. Saint just wants what is "his". It's not about him thinking he is a better ruler, it comes across much more like a child who has had a toy taken away. Even if t [...]
The sixth 'Thresl Chronicles' book finally brings the story I have been waiting for since this very special super-Thresl first appeared. Saint is certainly a Thresl who has suffered a lot, locked away in isolation for centuries, and now that he is free, and on the prowl for his mate, he takes no prisoners. His destined mate, reincarnated since he was killed when Saint was taken prisoner, is certainly a match for him. Badass extraordinaire Mars, a starship captain posing as a smuggler so he can r [...]
Several books ago in the Thresl Chronicles Amber Kell introduced Saint. From the moment he pounced onto the page I wanted to read more of this Thresl. He’s brassy and harsh and he is missing all of his filters. His page time is always a guaranteed enjoyment.Another several books ago happening was the introduction of Mars and the fact that he was destined to be Saint’s mate. This all lead to some high anticipation for this particular book for me. Saint Returns doesn’t disappoint. It is pace [...]
In this grand finale, Saint's story is told at last. He has searched across the length and breadth of the galaxy, but he has finally found his mate, the elusive Mars. Like many other fans, I have been eager for the telling of this story. As eager as I was, I couldn't have possibly anticipated all the delightful twists this story took. It totally delivered.Saint wants two thing- his mate and his throne. He has found his mate. Now he just needs to persuade him oh so carefully to accept their matin [...]
I liked it. ButWhile it did give closure to the plots running through the previous books (smuggling of Thresls, etc), it didn't really feel completely done for me. I mean, will Matthews find a Thresl mate? How does Saint and Mars deal with and handle ruling? What are Kres and Vohne going to do? I saw reviewers say this was the last book -- is it? I can live with things as they are, but I can see the potential for at least a follow-up story.
I have enjoyed this soapbox drama series of Thresl. It’s hard to believe this is the finale book, I just felt there should be more to Saint’s story, a major more, to the building of this relationship. Yes, we took down the key evil person behind the scenes, that part finished. But I want to see the building of a new phase with Saint at its helm. Hopefully there will be more to come. A great creative series.
2.5 Stars I seem to be in the minority here but this was completely meh to me. This is SAINT'S book and it bored me to tears. Saint! I have been waiting quite a while for it and it was a let down.
The last book of the series, finally all the answers and a nice finale. This series was quite enjoyable indeed.
For such an eagerly anticipated book it felt unfinished and rushed.
4.25 starsSaint Returns is the long-awaited series finale to The Thresl Chronicles. Set on another planet, this series is an unique blend of science fiction, paranormal and political thriller all rolled up in a M/M romance. In book six, readers get the long-awaited story of Saint, former king and bad-ass Thresl. In this installment, Saint has finally found his mate, Mars. But don’t expect Insta-Love and happy times right away. You see, Mars has no desire to be the bonded of a Thresl King, and [...]
I can't believe that I am giving this book three stars (my lowest rating) but I am grrr I have been looking forward to Saint's story for a long time and now that I have read it I am disappointed! It felt like scenes were missing! It jumped from one thing to another without flow and where is my self-centered, overbearing, "I only care about myself and finding my mate" Saint? I wanted my growly, mumbling beast and I got this story. We are only shown a couple of his many "amazing" capabilities that [...]
I am now absolutely delighted, annoyed and disappointed! Delighted to have read book 6 of The Thresl Chronicles, annoyed at how rushed it felt and disappointed that I have finished it with what felt like half the story missing. It felt a little bit rushed with the story of Saint and Mars' relationship and that annoyed me as I felt their story deserved to be richer than it was. Also I am disappointed that the ending seemed rushed and the story ended long before I expected it to. WARNING: Spoiler [...]
I have mixed feelings about this book. I really enjoyed all of the chronicles. I couldnt stop reading them.Saint was introduced in the 2nd book and on the next ones we got a bit of infotmation about his journey to find his mate. I got excited when we found out it was mars.I expected it to be the best book but after reading it i still stick to the 1st one.In the book we finally found out who was the great enemy of the thresls -finally!!!- but this book lacks an epilogue. I would love to know how [...]
I like saint, this was a great conclusion to the series. Overall I have enjoyed this series, the plot got a bit cliche in many of the books. Book one was my favourite by far - but in general this was a fun and light hearted read.No real angst, a bit predictable and what I call a surface book. As in the author skims the surface and tells a story but doesnt dig deeper to bring a really amazing plot to us.Enjoy it for when you want brainless fun.
Still scattered, jumping here and there but Saint has his mate, the intrigue has been solved, the bad guy killed and the Thresls safe.A good bit of Kres too which I enjoyed. However, some characters didn't stay true, the climax was a bit odd, the bad guy was predictable and again with all the technology at their disposal some poor mistakes were made. But as I don't read Amber Kell for a good mystery I was able to relax and enjoy the brain candy.
This book was so amazing. It was my favorite out of the entire series! I love the Saint and Mars together they are so perfect for each other. Then the huge shock that it was saint's brother that was the mastermind behind this was crazy! She tied the series together so well and the ending was perfect
This is hard to say, but I'm not sure I like one of the MCs. Saint was not very likeable and as much as I pity all that he has been through, I'm not sure it helped. I also just didn't get much of a personality from Mars, his mate. I rounded up from 3.5 stars though, for Kreslan. Really enjoyed seeing more of him and Vohne in this book.
4.5Gah! I desperately hope this isn't the end! There are still so many characters that I want to see find their mates! So many!Lots of closure for most of the main couples, the direct ones that were always mentioned so that was nice but I sure do hope this series is far from being over. >o<
Not bad. The mating between Mars and saint wasn't really the primary plot tho. Everything seemed to focus more on the thresl smuggling. I personally don't like when the actual mating gets pushed to the back burner.

Same old shit, different book cover. It's o.k I guess.
FINALLY! I have been waiting for this book and although it felt rushed at the end, I enjoyed it none the less.
