My review was first posted on Northern Plunder, you can read more of my reviews there too.The Wizard Takes a HolidayThe shortest and sweetest of the five tales, I squee’d with delight at this one. The Wizard takes a holiday, and relaxes at a drive-in movie (one of these has actually opened up not far from me lately and I really want to go!) but relaxing doesn’t go quite as planned thanks to a snotty child and a baby troll. This is probably the shortest of all the stories but it was a great i [...]

Obligatory Got A Free Copy from Author So Here's My Honest Review Statement I LOVED IT!! But then again, The Wizard is one of my fav characters of late. He's a "normal" guy just trying to enjoy his day and things happen - a baby troll, ninja zombies from a disgruntled former apprentice, a disaster at a friend's wedding with new apprentice in tow plus a visit to see Harlow and Roller Deb for Xmas. It was great to have all my Wizard stories in one place instead of fumbling around my kindle to find [...]

Red Tash is an author with a deep and compelling imagination! The Wizard Tales are is part of the series of the nameless wandering wizard. The book is not only fun to read, but also mind blowing in the sheer volume of spells, wizardry and magic. Red Tash is clearly invested in her imagination and fully explores its wonderful depths to create The Wizard Tales. I enjoyed the blend of the magical, the historical and the modern. For any lover of Harry Potter or JRR Tolkien this story should definite [...]

While I've read the various tales The Wizard Takes a Holiday (review here), The Wizard Takes a Fitness Class (review here) and The Wizard Takes the Cake (review here), I'd like to read the tales about Lucian!

Loved it from the first wizard adventure at the drive-in! These stories are just plain fun to read. The Wizard Takes The Cake is my personal favorite and I especially enjoy the relationship between The Wizard and his apprentice Lucian.

This review is somewhat hard for me to write. Essentially this is a book of short stories. Some I enjoyed, some I did not. There were a few that made me laugh or gave more insight to Red Tash’s other book that I reviewed, Troll or Derby. Most of the stories in this book, really didn’t leave much of an impression one way or the other. The Wizard Takes a Holiday was kind of cute, but like with many short stories, I would have liked for the story to continue just a bit longer. It’s almost as i [...]
