He clearly tried to do a paint by numbers Munsch book but couldn't even manage that. He's not even good enough to be a parody of himself anymore. I hope he really needs the money or something, because I can't see any other reason for "Finding Christmas" to see the light of day. Not only does this book basically tell children Santa doesn't exist, but it doesn't even tempt you to smile.I know it sounds harsh, but I'm not alone here. GAH! Only read this book to children who know there is no Santa. Otherwise, you'll have quite some explaining to do.

It’s a story about presents and parents and family. I thought the illustrations were cute, almost telling their own story too. I love the message that the family being together on Christmas morning is the best part about Christmas, that family is the best present you can get. Is that a sappy sentiment? Yes? I don’t care.

Seeing Munsch's own family featured in one of his books -- especially such a warm and affectionate take on the holidays -- is nice enough, but there's something about this story that feels rushed and incomplete. Not one of his best.

When Christmas was on the roof!

Cute.

when I saw this book in the book store, I screeched. I loooooved Robert Munsch as a kid, and I couldn't wait to flip through a new to me book by him. and it didn't disappoint! very charming Xmas picture book with that signature Munsch humour, highly recommend

Funny book and a great idea for hiding gifts!
