Boy is this book hard to review. I can break this book up into 2 parts. First 40%, and second 60%1st HalfThe book starts off in full force. We are introduced to a ton of characters, and a ton of future world terminology. I have no idea what anything is, and its not really explained very well. For the first part of the book I was very confused. Because everything was just kind of thrown at me I had to keep rereading parts, and I kept getting the secondary characters mixed up. I was about ready to [...]

Hi All, So I might be a bit biased. I am the author and this is my baby. So yes, I love it. This book was a world-wide collaboration. I really mean that. People from all over the world stepped up to help me bring this story to life. Betas, mentors, readers, librarians, and even agents offered encouraging words of wisdom during this journey. They saw the potential even when I sometimes felt like giving up. At the end of the day, it will all boil down to you beautiful readers, and loyal fans. It's [...]

**I received this book by the author for an honest review**I had a hard time deciding on my rating for this book so I have settled on 2.5 stars.Pros: The first few chapters of this book sounded promising. Did I like it at first yes! It had Angel's,Bad Angel's,Magician's,Trackers and some other cool ideas. The Main character was a girl and she had a twin brother which was another plus for me(if you know me you know why :D ). I also liked the mystery of what happened or what was happening to her b [...]

Chela lives in Haynes Castle. A dystopian city, created after the Tidal Wars. The Tidal Wars were fought between the Angel factions of Tainted and Caduceans. Alchemy and angel-bloods have been outlawed in the cities by humans. However there are some still hidin' within' the city. Chela and her twin Micha are some of them. Chela's twin is in a comatose state after "falling" from a roller coaster. Chela on the other hand is of the belief that he was pushed by the Tainteds, because her brother knew [...]

The whole universe that is created is amazing, and how everything works such as the political business, occupations, the abilities various people possesses. I'm actually surprised at myself at how fast I read this book lol. I guess it's because it's on my iPad. It's happened before. ;P Another reason is probably because this book was so wonderful. Especially unique. I loved everything about it! The only thing I didn't like about it is Seth. Blah. I just don't know my feelings about him just yet. But Faris.oh Faris. He makes me go asdfghjkl;. ;PAgain, this book way absolutely awesome. I also loved that this took place in North Carolina, where me and [...]

Given the chance to read this book after seeing it and going to myself "this seems good" I nearly fainted, dramatically styled! I started off reading it going ". . .Hum- where is this going?" It seemed to dull down at points, even though the book started off grabbing my attention with "My brothers hand twitched." It rather got me all excited, then seemed to fade out into less interesting things yet vital parts to the story. I quickly got wrapped back into the book at the mention of healers, illu [...]

Wow! This was such a great book! It took me a while to figure out what was going on in this world because everything was so different, but once I got my bearings, I loved it so much! KaSonndra Leigh really creates such a rich, and detailed world that it is insane to think that it used to be the United States. It's so different. I especially loved how everything was there for a reason, every person, every place, and every item came into play later on in the book. And not always in the ways that I [...]

I really liked this book a lot. Chela was a strong main character, more believable then many others I've seen. The other characters too were likewise individual and interesting, particularly the three main guys Seth, Faris and Galen. I liked the sorta dystopian world that was presented and the writing style was very visual and unique in some ways. The story itself too was interesting with lots of twists and turns. I also applaud the fact that it did not end in a typically happy romantic way - th [...]

Thank you Ms. Leigh for giving me a chance to read this book. This is a wonderful story, starting with the beautiful cover to the essence of the story.I enjoyed reading this book a lot, and now that I am through, I’m going to catch up on my sleep. That’s how good the book was as I read page after page, eager to know what happened next. The story starts off slow as Ms. Leigh gives us a view of the world she has created. The story is built around a dystopian society where rules are the order of [...]

I started reading this book blind. KaSonndra sent me a message, asking if I could read her book and post my thoughts on it.I did just that. I didn't look at the cover or read the summary, the synopsis, or even the title until it popped up on my Kindle. May I just say: the first page drew me in. It offered a slight insight to the world this novel was set in, but didn't give enough information for the reader to know already what was going to happen.Things I liked:1. The characters. Namely Faris, C [...]

WHEN COPPER SUNS FALL was, quite simply, a wonderful read.I feel obligated to preface this review by admitting that dystopian novels aren't among those with which I'm overly familiar. Thus, my point of comparison is likely less broad than for other reviewers. That said, one should take away from this that the book really appealed to me, even though it falls outside of my "norm." To me, this is the sign of a great book.Author Leigh's world-building is very well done. She easily made me envision t [...]

When Copper Suns Fall by KaSonndra Leigh was definitely a different YA premise than most books out there now ~~ Angels in a dystopian society. For a first book, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be reading more of Ms Leigh's books.

If you want to read a book that is full of intrigue and that will keep you guessing until the end then this is the book for you. Everytime you think you know what is going on new details come to light that keep you guessing. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. What a wild ride!

3.5/5 star ratingI was very excited to read this debut novel. The brief description of this story related to a genre that I enjoy reading. So I began this novel with a degree of excitement to see if it could deliver.I was instantly caught up from the first page, when the story begins to Chela seeing her ill and comatose brother’s hand move. The following scenes of her ardent pleas to have that small movement acknowledged by her brother’s caregivers, and the resulting threat-like conversation [...]

Check out the book tour! 10/14 Click bannerI was not sure what to expect from this book, but being blown away from start to finish isn’t what I expected. It was so beautifully written, it had me captivated right from the movement of Chela’s twin brother’s hand (Micah), who is in a strange coma.KaSonndra Leigh did an amazing job with this book. I fell in love with the characters, its not like most fantasy books I had read, it has that deep meanings and feelings in it. I really loved the mai [...]

Rating: 3.5 starsKaSonndra Leigh's debut novel mixes angels, alchemy and dystopia and the hell result is one hell of a first installment!Chela doesn't believe her brother's accident was truly an accident. Her determination to find out who put her brother Micah in a coma puts her right in the middle of a war between two groups which aren't supposed to exist anymore. When both sides are interested in her, Chela must fight to do what's right while investigating the secrets within her city and withi [...]

I wasn't draw into the book immediately. I had a hard time picturing the descriptions the author was describing. Unfortunately for me, I really wanted to like this book. Some parts felt rushed, some parts flushed out nicely. The lack of clear descriptions left me unable to picture what the author was describing. This was very frustrating for me and I struggled to "get into" the book. The book lacks background information about the "Great War" and the lack of vivid descriptions about places left [...]

When Copper Suns Fall is urban fantasy set within a dystopian society, 55 years hence, in an America that had had been engulfed in the Tidal Years, a great heavenly battle that changed the world. As a result the Nation of Corunum was created, a typically rigid dystopian society based on strict adherence to laws and customs provoking feat and distrust, governed by a questionable and unbending leadership, called the Tribunal. Survival is only ensured by conformity.Chela Prizeon, our main protagoni [...]

This book was a sneaky surprise for me. Meaning I went into it with skeptical eyes, but came out with an entirely different perspective. I even joined this site so I could gush over this stunning piece of fiction. I bought this book off of . I'll admit that I bought it mainly because of the cover. It's pretty, the trailer is neat. But I didn't know how the writing would stack up. Most times, that's where these books by small presses fall short. Either that, or the editing. Not so in this case! A [...]

Wow, this story was busy!! I don't feel like I got a chance to take a breath there was so much going on at any point, whether it was Chela's thoughts or action going on around her! I don't think I was prepared to have to pay so much attention to what was going on, so I had to really make myself take everything in. I still can't say for sure I fully grasp everything that went on in this book because there was so much beyond what was happening in each scene.I really LOVE angel stories, so I was ex [...]

I fell in love with this story right away. The author's writing is so expressive, it wasn't hard to fall into her world and get wrapped up in the mystery and suspense surrounding Chela. The secondary characters were pretty well flushed out also I'd like to say there were two main characters to this book Chela and Farris, but her two friends (she calls them the Bermuda Three)and some of the other characters were just as involved. This book starts out with Chela breaking one rule after another she [...]

As I started reading, I was instantly drawn in. The main character thinking that she saw her comatose brother’s hand move was just that right emotional pull to get me interested. Unfortunately, my interest was brought to a screeching hault soon after that. The author never went into any detail as to how their society came to be, what the “Great War” was all about. I was so confused by the terminology that it was hard for me to make sense of the story. After reading more, I soon figured out [...]
