Completely loving the Jane Jameson series set in Half Moon Hollow. As this starts out, Jane and Gabriel are off in Europe for some much-needed alone time, but Gabriel, who has been mysteriously disappearing for weeks at a time over the course of the last two books, begins receiving strange letters at every hotel they arrive in. So once again he pulls his vanishing act and won’t tell Jane the truth about what’s going on. I rather enjoy the push/pull between Jane and Gabriel. Jane doesn’t ta [...]

Oh no! A vampire break-up? Vampires are angsty enough without the break-up drama, so this was gunna be gud!"I hope all your books keep you warm at night!" he yelled, stomping toward the door."Hey, you're room temperature at best, buddy. You never kept me that warm to begin with!" I shouted back.Sing it, sister!!Jane is awesome in this one as she deals with Gabriel being an ass. She doesn't get all clingy, she doesn't go into a deep depression, she doesn't try to win him back. Nope. She stands up [...]

4.5 Stars! It just keeps getting betterIt’s like a sitcom in my ears!! Filled with funny, heartwarming scenes, this book is a winner! Jane and Gabriel work out their problems…love, love, love Gabrield they move forward in their relationship. Jolene and Zeb, await the birth of their children and deal with her overbearing werewolf family…and Jane intervenes on their behalf, and with all her new vamp power…watch out! But hands down my favorite moments involve Jane and Richard ‘Dick’ Che [...]

Another very good installment from Molly Harper's "Nice Girls Don't" series. An intelligent and witty book about vampires, ghouls, werewolves, ghosts and maybe even witches. Never thought I'd be describing a book about vampires as intelligent and witty.

Audio Book ReviewThe Story:Nice Girls Don’t Live Forever is the third book in Molly Harper’s Jane Jameson series, which is a cross between Contemporary and Paranormal Romance, with the slightest hint of Chick-lit.As is always the case with Molly Harper, the storytelling is brilliant. My earlier slight disappointment in the world building is gone, and this story is romantic, funny, sexy, fast paced, and at times poignant. The story takes place in the quirky small town of Half Moon Hollow wher [...]

3.5Angsty vampires arewell, angsty. This book seemed shorter and a quicker read than the disappointing second. Not sure why, since there wasn't non-stop action or anything, but it was more enjoyable. There is a small background of danger and mystery throughout most of the story, focusing on an issue of doubt Jane is having with her sire Gabriel. I must say I was surprised when the villains were unveiled at the end. Unrealistic one of them wouldn't have been noticed, very, but with this kind of pl [...]

Another fun Friday night spent with Jane Jameson. I’m glad I left a few months between #2 and this installment—Jane is best enjoyed in small doses. Especially as this book tips the scales much further towards paranormal romance than to regular urban fantasy.I do love the sass and the snark that Molly Harper channels for Jane. And Jane needs them desperately in book 3 as she deals with relationship issues, both her vampire sire/boyfriend, Gabriel and her sister. Not to mention that her best f [...]

The third in the series and the best so far. When I started my next book in a different, darker series I found myself missing Jane and her crazy cast of funny friends and family. In this addition someone is trying to kill Jane and there are absolutely no suspects. While characters reveal more about themselves, some things come into perspective and her belief in people's basic good nature may be returning. All of her friends and even some unexpected family members rally around her to help root ou [...]

The best way to get over a messy break-up is to spend time with a suportive group of friends. The best way to chase off a supportive group of friends is to talk constantly about your messy break-up. --Love Bites: A Female Vampire Guide to Less Destructive RelationshipsAfter the disappointing second book of this series I wasn't too keen on reading this one. But it turned out to be fabulous! Jane and her boyfriend/sire is on a romantic vacation in Europe. But it turns into a messy break-up and Jan [...]

All of Molly Harper's books just leave me with a smile on my face.Love all the characters in this series. Jane is awesome and I love her relationships with all her friends Andrea, Dick, Zeb, and Janene. liked the fact that her family came around in this book especially mom and sister. some of the best parts of these books were when Jane was at The chamber of commerce meetings with all the Courtneys The only part of these books that I struggle with a little bit is the relationship between Jane an [...]

So sad to see this series end. I enjoyed the laugh out loud moments. The hilarious wit from the previous books continued in this book as well despite the nasty situation Jane was in. I cracked up so many times reading this book, and I love the author's ability to make light of even the worst predicaments, so that you don't feel like you are reading something unhappy. MH did a wonderful job of wrapping up this one, with no loose ends. Which makes me worry that rumor to number 4 is nothing but a r [...]

Originally posted at The Book NymphoI am really enjoying this series; each book is funnier than the last. And Amanda Ronconi is the prefect person to bring this world and characters to life on audio. There is just enough mystery to the plots to keep you reading/listening to see who the bad guy is in each book. After reading a lot of darker books lately it’s nice to take a step back and enjoy the lightness of Harper’s world she has created in the Nice Girls series.Nice Girls Don’t Live Fore [...]

Rating: 4/5Heat Rating: 3/5Narrator: 4.5/5

I was kind of debating whether to award this 3 or 4 stars, but I went with 4 in light of the hilarity. =)I was actually looking forward to this book quite a lot - the sneak peek at the end of the previous one left me curious as to what would happen with Gabriel and Jane. This book focuses a lot more on their relationship, something I found a little lacking in the previous books. These books pull me more because of the humour than the romance, which has always come across a little flat. I've alway [...]

*review contains spoilers*I have to say that this third book in the Jane Jameson series is the best so far. Jane Jameson, a newly turned vampire (a year ago) goes to Europe on vacation with her sire/love Gabriel whom she first met in book 1 (Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs) after she was fired from her small town's library as the children's librarian. Only given a coupon for potato skins instead of a last paycheck, Jane goes and get trashed while talking to a handsome stranger (Gabriel). She leaves [...]

This does prove it. I can still do pnr, but, only funny pnr. I have said it before with the Sand books, and it is true.It was 4 years since I read the last book (I know!), but I could easily jump in even though it is about the same character. I just started reading, I did not remember a thing, and it did not matter.Instead I learned that Jane is a vamp (well I did remember that), everyone knows about vamps now (still lots of tension). She has a hunky BF called Gabriel (the one who turned her). S [...]

This book starts out on a depressing note. One that carries it's way into the middle of the book. However, the humor is quickly brought back out and leaves you laughing out loud just as much as the previous two bookspossibly more. The only thing about this book that makes me wonder is the ending. All conflicts seem to be resolves which leaves me thinking that there won't be another book. And when I say all conflicts, I mean all of them. Jane ends up in a full on truce with her sister Jenny (with [...]

This is going to seem weird, but these books now remind me of Penrod - short stories about small town life wrapped up in a larger book. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it, it was a fun little read, but like many series destined to be practically endless they lose somewhat of a sense of urgency ya know? Still, this series is clever, fun and worth a read! Watch my video review

Three books in and I'm really enjoying Molly Harper's vampire series. It's a good helping of comedy with touches of romance tied up in a mystery package. Also there are side dishes of awesome supporting characters that are just as funny as the main character. I've been in a reading funk lately and Molly Harper's books have been the perfect remedy. Looking forward to the next book. Highly recommended

Vampire, Jane Jameson, is on a whirlwind European vacation with her sire, and lover, Gabriel Nightengale. Things are not quite as romantic as Jane wishes them to be though. Towards the end of the second book, Nice Girls Don’t Date Dead Men, Gabriel was always off on suspicious business and getting texts from someone named Jeanine. This behavior continues on their vacation, and Gabriel becomes more distant every day. White envelopes keep showing up at every hotel, and Gabriel becomes more distr [...]

All of the issues between Jane and Gabriel finally come to a head when their trip around the world becomes one disaster after another. Someone is sending mysterious notes to each stop along the way, no matter how often they change locations. The problem is that he tries to act like nothing is wrong and won't show the notes to Jane. She gets fed up with it and heads home realizing that their relationship is probably over. Luckily she has her book store's opening and the upcoming birth of Zeb's tw [...]

I've been wanting to read something fun and that is what attracted me to the Jane Jameson series. However, one of my biggest problems in any book is main characters who 'allow' themselves to be victim or victimized. This is starting to be a trend with this series and it is truly getting on my last nerve!Jane and Gabriel are on a world wind vacation across Europe. However, no sooner than they arrive at their first stop, Gabriel begins acting strangely: leaving the room to take phone calls, receiv [...]

I think this book is the best book among the three of this series. The book put in most of puzzle from two books before. We get to know more about Gabriel’s background and his reason becoming so secretive about his trips to other countries. Many great developments happen here as Jolene’s pregnancy, serious relationship of Dick and Andrea, and of course Jane’s break up with Gabriel.I can’t blame Jane becoming angry with mysterious and enigmatic Gabriel, mostly after she kind of gets kicke [...]

I picked this series back up since I enjoyed Jane as a secondary character in some of the other books set in Half Moon Hollow, but after reading this, I'm starting to think I like her best as a secondary character.Jane and Gabriel break up again. So Jane joins the Chamber of Commerce to focus on her business and is also getting stalker-y mail. What I liked: * Jolene and Zeb. They are cute together as they navigate the next step. Their relatives are nightmares though (funny to read about).* Dick [...]

This is the third book in the Jane Jameson series. I give it 2.5 stars. Not a bad read, but most of it was fluff. The bulk of the middle of the book seemed more like a way to pass time until the action started. The book starts out with Jane in Europe with Gabriel. Gabriel keeps receiving mysterious notes, and then spastically switches hotels or even cities. Jane finally has enough and leaves, and Gabriel lets her. Jane comes home brokenhearted, and thus, begins a lot of nothing. Fluff and filler [...]

I really didn't like this book all that much. Jane is funny but she is also kind of stupid. Gabriel's big secret, the one that almost ruined his relationship because he refused to tell Jane, was ridiculous. He said he didn't want to tell her because he was protecting her and he was embarrassed and thats complete bullshit. I HATED Gabriel in this book. I know I'm in the minority because I have read a few reviews and everyone seems to love him and I'm over here like wtf is wrong with people. Don't [...]

4.25I really enjoyed this one! Lots of revelations and lots of Dick Cheney time :)Dick has to be one of the best sidekicks in the history of fiction lol. And of course I caught myself laughing and snickering right along with Jane. These books are the best when you want a funny, light but very entertaining read. Amanda Roccini really makes these books though. I don't know if I'd love them as much if I were reading them vs listening. Can't wait to see what's in store for Jane and company in the ne [...]

I love this series, I can't get enough. So funny, witty, exciting and a little mystery. The chareters come to life for me. Jane is so fun, and I love the book store. I found myself laughing out loud a couple of times. Great Book!!

Fluffy and fun with my favorite narrator of all time or at least close to that. More review at another time.

Only you Jane, only you!I laughed out loud so much again my husband asked if I were okay and my cat left the room to get away from my crazy cackling.Actually happy accidentally read book 4 before this one as now it really cleared up a lot of my questions and also book 3 generally tied up a lot of loose ends for me too.
