Different than I thoughtI like E V Thompson's books and tales and have a trip to the south of England coming up to prove it. I liked that the heroine and her hero got together and I enjoyed a new landscape. Please keep writing.

Very interesting book. Not my usual kind of thing as there was a strong romance element alongside a war/historic background but I found it very easy to read and was drawn into the story and characters.

I thought this was a great book which I enjoyed to the very end.History mixed up with Fiction and Romance. After reading I hoed I could read more books with these characters

Read at least once in the 80s / 90s and really enjoyed. Am well ready to re-read all his books.

i have enjoyed E.V. Thompson books and although I liked this book, it didn't grip me straight away. I loved the attention to detail of the history during that period in China.
