So, of course I love this anthology, but please remember that, as the editor, these stories were submitted to me; I didn't write them. Like any reader, I have to be captivated by a story to want to include it in a collection -- especially one with my name on it. What I love most about Extinct is that it's such an eclectic mix: mainstream, speculative and humorous stories all rubbing shoulders together in a very seamless, very dynamic way that showcases the theme. I am somewhat biased since my story "The Language of Ice" is included in this anthology. But I have to say, the stories are beautifully written and well edited. I am very proud to have my story included with such a great group of up and coming mainstream and speculative fiction writers. If you enjoy speculative fiction, I know you won't be disappointed.
Excellent series of short stories, superb writing and editing. If you like contemporary or speculative fiction, you'll enjoy this, and it's well worth the $2.99 at . Highly recommended. All the stories are top notch.

And most of the other southern states as well. Results: some very well-written, interesting, and thought-provoking stories here. I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys science fictio [...]
